Not to take anything out of them, but wouldn’t the inbound part be more busy than people leaving?

  2. We were flying away on Monday evening and I was shocked when there was almost nobody at security in T2

  3. I think the new scanners and fewer restrictions is really helping. Very quick queue the last few times I’ve flown out

Even if it’s a quieter Christmas than usual, Dublin airport security is the best security I’ve passed through in a good while. Major improvements since that ropey few months in 2021.

  5. Christmas travels been broken up quite a lot this year with how it falls, people have been heading away since last Friday rather than all at once. We drove home yesterday which is usually extremely busy but was just a normal day.

Dublin Airport is a seriously good airport to be fair. I’ve done a fair bit of travel over the past year and I’m never waiting for more than 10 minutes for security in either terminal.
This definitely has not been the experience in Amsterdam, or any US airport to be honest. All are woefully bad.

If only Dublin Airport had a rail connection……

I was in London a couple of weeks ago. The difference in Dublin is staggering. Been saying it for years, Dublins a great airport compared to so many others around Europe. A bit of cop on from the staff goes a long way. The new scanners are brilliant too, make life so much easier.
