As an Irish person, I have never felt more apart culturally from America. It is no longer an ally to most western countries and cannot be trusted any more.
America is only powerful because of US Treasury bonds. I dont approve of a lot of things about China but they are reliable at least, I think Europe should do less trade with the US and trade with China.
America needs to feel real economic pain before it learns it cannot run roughshod over the lives and economies of the world and not expect consequences.
