Like y’all, I read all of these with a grain of salt, but I have come to think that Mr. Trump is maybe for the first time going full scale, no holds barred Trump, no exit ramps, no constraints, no mask of civility, like he always wanted BUT it may be too late at the same time. Like he wishes he did this in 2016 when he had the energy, and now cannot quite tap into the same energy so is pushing, pushing, pushing as the clock ticks, aware he is 80ish, faltering, living off fumes. He can still and is causing heaps of damage and horror and mayhem, but doesn’t it feel like, I don’t know, like a last lap? Maybe I am the one breathing fumes.

It’ll morph into some other far right lunacy unless we do what should have done in The Reconstruction and stamp out these ideologies that directly contradict real American values and constitutionality.
Start with Nuremberg Trials on steroids then move on to designating organizations like Heritage Foundation, Federalist Society and Turning Point USA as terrorist organizations. Arrest and try their leadership and seize their funding. Then move on to busting up these media conglomerates and restore the Fairness Doctrine. And finally, pack the fuck out of the Supreme Court make the first order of business abolishing Citizens United.
That would be a fine start. But this is going to be a generational problem to fix. It won’t happen in even a 4-8 year term of a competent president.
