Orthodox Christians celebrate the Nativity in a new style. Symbols explained by father Vlad Mihăilă

According to the ethnographer Varvara Buzilă, approximately 36% of the localities in the Republic of Moldova celebrate Christmas in a new style, these being mainly localities from the south of the country, especially on the banks of the Prut River, and some localities from the north of the country. In the municipality of Chisinau, three churches celebrate the Nativity of the Lord on December 25: the “St. Teodora de la Sihla” Church, the “Petru and Paul” Church and the “St. Trinity”Orthodox Christians who follow the Gregorian calendar today celebrate the Nativity of the Lord, one of the most important Christian holidays
