Taxi service provider SIA “Ruut LV”, which began operating at the end of October this year, has temporarily suspended its platform, according to a statement from the company.
The statement says that due to technological challenges, Ruut is temporarily suspending its platform operations in order to make significant improvements to the app.
“This decision has been made with a view to the future and with the aim of improving the stability of the platform and the user experience for both partners and drivers,” the statement said.
Ruut representatives told the LETA news agency that the platform’s operations have been suspended for an “indefinite period.”
Ruut LV began providing taxi services through the Ruut mobile app on October 27th this year.
Ruut founder Andris Kļavinskis previously stated that Ruut began operating in Rīga, Pierīga, and Jūrmala, but once it has achieved its goals and stabilised in these regions, the company plans to expand its operations to other major cities in Latvia.
