I know I’m really setting myself up for a bollocking here with my fancy booze and my relationship notions and whatnot, but I was hoping to show some appreciation to my husband who not only put on an amazing spread on the dinner table, but has also kept my glass generously full of all sorts of fancy festive creations that taste incredible.

**Poinsettia** (Nigella Lawson classic):
Bottle, i.e. 75cl, of prosecco (although I prefer Crémant by a mile, because Crémant is better than everything)
150ml Cointreau
500ml cranberry juice
Ice
Mix and guzzle. Divine
