Considering that Elon is back to funding republicans this proves he’s a big fat phony who doesn’t know shit about tech.

What a dipshit. Waste, fraud, and abuse was a massive joke, and now it’s coming back to bite Donald J. Trump in the ass.

Damn. They couldn’t buy it for the people who were specifically working on that? 😆

Just imagine the number of crucial legal documents the DOJ has handed over done the same way…

It’s almost like, and buckle up for this one, jobs existed and money was spent because it was needed to do the job properly.
I’m not saying the systems are perfect, but trying to achieve 100% efficiency with 0% waste is a fools errand and impossible.

The incompetence is astounding. This is multi-level kind of shooting your own foot, in regards to screw ups.
First DOGE your staffing, next DOGE your SaaS, then brag at making changes like a new MBA in a 1st year Managers position, trying to justify your ideas of change for a company that was running on autopilot for so long.
Now, after axing the experienced staff, you have depts that lack the supervision needed to ensure the Protocols are followed. No seriously, after axing the accountability, you now have a dusty old Employee Handbook and SOPs that go unread.
Now, you get interns and compartmentalization processes mixed up into the day to day. Nearly a thousand experts in other areas of investigations, reviewing millions of documents in segments. While a Government shutdown happens.
I mean you can’t write this shit anymore. Even the Onion couldn’t predict this level of failure.
To anyone else, a simple, “take the documents, print them redacted, and then scan them to PDFs.” would have solved this problem.

this post is gold. But fr, don’t we all notice how politics is turning into a doge show rn? Like, it’s not just humor, but reality too.
1) found it apt to talk about classified actions at Mar-a-Lago with the Japanese PM, during Trump 1
2) also found it apt to store classified documents in a bathroom of the same resort, again during Trump 1
3) boasted about being able to declassify documents, as President, just by thinking about it
4) was on tape boasting about keeping some classified documents for himself but to keep it a secret because he could not longer declassify then for his guests to look at them with impunity,
5) ran a campaign to release the Epstein files, should he be re-elected as President
(panting, a second large inhale)
– During his yet-completed 1st year of his second term:
6) Hired a TV commentator that, in turn, used a non secure messaging app not once, but twice, with the 2nd time adding a reporter to the group chat about war plans
7) brought in another fail-upwards oligarch to fire people who knew how to launch the country’s nukes, among the massive forced exodus of competent civil servants
8) brought in a district attorney who:
8.1) had/has ties to the Qatari government
8.2) mentioned the Epstein list was on her desk
8.3) mentioned there never was any Epstein list
8 4) advised against Congress to put up a bill to release the files her boss campaigned on releasing, for fear of targeting victims (all while victims were having a press conference outside the Capitol)
9) tried to make a deal with Ireland to sweep Epstein under the rug, which failed miserably when he got called out by a reporter about that shameless attempt
10) reiterated that DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) are why we’re not as good as the rest of the world, but we also have to keep the H1-B visas to bring top talent in
And probably more insane security breach situations, like the time there was an SI video of Trump sucking on Putin’s toes in the monitors in the halls of Congress
All of that before someone at the DOJ pulled a Chelsea Manning¹, but instead of a Lady Gaga cd cover, they just highlighted the text in black and posted everything on the DOJ website?!
As hilarious as this is, I wonder what else has been “secured” like this that we don’t know about.
¹Note: while I’m aware Edward Snowden would be a better analogy for the redaction method used, Manning is more à propos because it speaks to a very haphazard MacGuyver-esque way to smuggle information out that would’ve otherwise been easily caught, which in this situation was the case.

Jesus, if this was a company I’d be dumping their stock as fast as I could. The fact that the most powerful country in the world is being run like a mom-n-pop corner store is breathtakingly frightening for the rest of the world. This much incompetence; this much ineptitude; this much ignorance; this much corruption. Utterly astounding. I just can’t believe all of this is really happening and no one seems to be able to even acknowledge it, much less rectify it. Wow.
