India ODI Squad Vs New Zealand Live Updates: The Indian cricket team will return to action during the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. The series will get underway from January 11, with matches on January 14 and 18. The India squad for the series will be announced very soon. The BCCI had recently named the squad for the T20I series and the T20 World Cup, but held back the ODI squad. Once again, all eyes will be on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli who showed great form in the South Africa ODI series, which India won 2-1. Both Rohit and Kohli also played the Vijay Hazare Trophy and scored centuries.
The squad should see Shubman Gill return to lead the side. Gill missed the South Africa series due to injury. Shreyas Iyer has resumed batting, but he is very unlikely to be match fit before the series. It will also be interesting to see if India pick Jasprit Bumrah in the squad. With the T20 World Cup lined up, India want him to play all T20Is, but with his form looking dicey in South Africa T20Is, and the long break in between. He may be picked in the ODI squad too.
