I googled “National fruit of Korea” and got many different answers. There doesn’t seem to be an official fruit so I’m asking here instead. Which do you think is a better symbol of Korea? Red apple, Korean pear, or persimmon?

I’d say naju pear, sangju persimmon or chamwe
Can I also throw strawberries, 참외, and grapes into the mix?
I’d say what’s the *most Korean* is the persimmon, but what’s the most staple, ordinary fruit is the apple.
Okay so it’s a Sunday so I found actual survey results. Among adults going by their top 2 picks:
Apple 13.4%
Watermelon 13.2%
Peach 7.9%
Grapes 7.2%
참외 6.9%
Mandarin 6.7%
Banana 5.6%
Tomato 4.9%
Pear 4.4%
Orange 4.0%
Grapefruit 1.9%
Kiwi 1.8%
Pear or Persimmon If I had to pick.
Different seasons have different preferences. Winter, spring, =>strawberry, summer=>peach, watermelon,
autumn,=>persimmon
Winter=> tangerine, and all season grape and apple.
Definitely the Korean pear.
From foreigner viewer I think Jeju Orange and Persimmon 😅.
There aren’t many fruits that seem appropriately Korean, but Korean pears are hard to come by overseas, so I highly recommend trying them during your trip. I recommend trying something a little more expensive than something too cheap.
