  1. I’ve been left thinking about the point he makes at the end; what really constitutes a natural environment given human interaction is inevitable. It’s hard to accept what we had is gone and it’s incredibly unlikely we’ll get it back. I come away from this video feeling hopeless and unsure what we can even do.

    It also laid bare how the British not only robbed Ireland of it’s language and culture, but tore apart the landscapes that created them (99 words for rain and all that). It’s really sad all around.

  2. Very cool to see someone go to the bother of documenting and bringing attention to our beautiful country. Shame we seem to dog the green party and then ignore what we have to lose…

  3. We destroyed the Irish forests. The notion that it was the Brits (usually using the wood build ships) is bollix. They were mostly gone by then end of the Bronze Age.

  4. I’m all for reforestration if it gets rid of mayo, I’m all for it either way worldwide, but to have us rid ourselves of mayo, then all the better
