  1. If and when there is a war or major conflict countries depending on F35s will be between a rock and a hard place repairing or replacing. After their effectiveness exponentially declines it is fair to conclude nation states using F35s will become more vulnerable.

The secretary of the USAF has called the F-35 program acquisition malpractice mainly due to how Lockheed Martin owns the IP for everything related to the program and in conjunction with the delays like the latest delays to TR-3 upgrades which is delaying the Block IV upgrade package which is based off of TR-3. That being said the RCAF and the federal government ran out of time decades ago when deciding which aircraft to replace our aging CF-18 Hornets when a replacement should have been locked in in the late 90s and early 2000s. The F-35 is the only choice so far with an appropriate delivery window and capabilities that Canada needs and if we delay any longer the RCAF will have lost the pilots, technicians and knowledge to operate fighter jets when there is a gap between retiring the CF-18 and adopting whatever the government decides.

Can we PLEASE make a good bet and hedge our decision with the grippen. Im not saying cut the F35, im just saying,

    for the love of GOD

The process of the RCAF was biaised, lets take both and allow ourseve to make a second plane.

**Since the F35 is prone to breakdown already, it WONT do fine in the artic.**
