Sigh, not even a year has passed since he was elected, but it feels like eternity…

Russia, Trump administration and rise of irrational political movements across Europe (AFD, PiS/Konfederacja, National Front or Reform UK) is not a coincidence.
Idiocraccy in its purest form and death of a common sense, catalyzed by polarizing propaganda.
Even here we see plenty of these little mentzens with their simple ‘solutions’ to complex problems…. everything backed by cheap demagogy, populism and lies.
These lies are getting more and more bold, lies about EU, lies about reality… it is so annoying.
**Nevertheless, I would not rule out US as an ally**. MAGA and Trump have 30-sth % approval rating which is record low. Demographic change in the USA and views of younger people are way more liberal. Trump is 79, and there is no one else in MAGA movement that could gain a broader support. They are practically finished.
We will be laughing from this in 2028. Russia won’t be able to rebuild its potential in next 10 years, they are stuck in Ukraine. Sadly, biggest victim here is Ukraine which pays the highest price….

The only people who want Poland to sever its relationship with the US are German and Russian puppets.

USA under trump is nothing to trust or relay on. He trump is the russian asset and can’t be trusted. We as Poland we need to keep with EU and that is the only way forward for the next 3+ years until (hopefully) trump and republicans will lose their elections

And, at the same time, there were several assassination attempts on Zelensky. And this never bothered Mr Trump…
Poland is a bunch of war mongering fools! Trump is simply reacting to the reality that Ukraine has lost the war, a war strongly provoked by the US by their expansion of NATO eastwards.

I don’t think it’s a realistic expectation. Both Ukraine and Poland rely on American intelligence and their weapons system. Sadly, geopolitics relies on allegiances, and losing the US would make it 100 times more difficult for Ukraine. Whether this administration is fully on board or not, the US unquestionably a vital, if not reliable, partner in this equation.
If Europe had lost the backing of the US completely in the Russian-Ukraine war, they would unfreeze all the Russian assets, lift all the sanctions, and open up trade deals with Russians. Thus far sanctions still hold, and Ukraine cannot afford to give a leg up to Putin by abandoning the US. The US for better or worse is a vital strategic ally regardless of an administration. This is why Zelensky is jumping through hoops to appease Trump.
**Edit:** Anyone who thinks abandoning the US as a strategic partner is a good idea is shooting themselves in the foot. It’s just the reality.
