Senior guard Brooke Missry went off for a career-high 27 points including in her first game back from injury as the Purple Roses (1-4) earned their first win of the season over the Highwaywomen (1-3). Missry knocked down five three-pointers and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Senior Belle Alvarado added 14 points. Junior guard Brooke Jaenicke added eight points and a team-high seven rebounds. Junior guard Callie Decker chipped in six points.

Senior guard Lexi Carnegie scored a team-high 20 points and pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds in the loss. Senior guard Jillian Carter added 12 points.

Red Bank Catholic 59, Rutgers Prep 42

Senior forward Addy Nyemchek scored a game-high 25 points as the Caseys (5-0) rallied from a 28-22 halftime deficit to knock off the formerly unbeaten Argonauts (5-1). Senior center Sophie Smith added 10 points. Senior guard Katie Liggio chipped in eight points.

Senior forward Ava Frith knocked down four three pointers and finished with 14 points in the loss. Sophomore guard Hailey Benbow finished with 12 points.

Senior forward Emma Christensen posted a double-double with 10 points and 17 rebounds as the Golden Eagles (4-1) topped the Hawks (2-4).

Sophomore guard Jesse Sarana scored a game-high 16 points in the loss.

At Toms River North Gym

(5) Middletown South 47, (6) Middletown North 22

Middletown South (2-3)built a 20-10 lead at halftime and outscored Middletown North 16-7 in the 4th quarter to close the game out and win their consolation game in the Kevin Williams Christmas Classic. Samantha Evans scored a game-high 14 points and Brooke MacGregor added 10 points for the Eagles.

Kaelyn Gibson scored a team-high 7 points for Middletown North.

(14) Toms River North 50, (13) Lacey 33

Senior guard Cara Sarluca erupted for a career-high 33 points to lead the Mariners (3-4) past the Lions (4-3). Sarluca knocked down four treys and finished with four rebounds, four blocks, two assists, and two steals.

Senior Brooklynn Bell poured in a career-high of her own with 27 points in the loss.

Freshman guard Mikaela Rivers poured in a game-high 22 points as the Mustangs (2-5) prevailed over the Garnet Gulls (1-5). Freshman guard Kailey Tobin added 15 points. Junior forward Maren Schnieder chipped in seven points.

Sophomore Grace Coyle scored a team-high 12 points in the loss.

Junior Jayla Duff scored a team-high 13 points, but the Bengals (3-3) were unable to keep pace with the Aces (3-5).

Pinelands 51, Lakewood 17

Sophomore Rory Krier scored a game-high 17 points and dished out four assists as the Wildcats (1-3) earned their first victory of the season over the Piners (0-4). Freshman Brooke Budd added 13 points. Sophomore Ava Plant chipped in 11 points.

Keansburg 45, South River 31

Senior Gabriella Flanzbaum scored a game-high 15 points as the Titans (3-0) knocked off the formerly unbeaten Rams (4-1). Keansburg played outstanding defense in the first quarter holding a 13-0 lead into the second quarter. Junior Gianna Bettinger added 13 points. Senior Princess Graves finished with 11 points. Junior Bella Fernandez chipped in six points.

South Amboy 40, Henry Hudson 22

Freshman Valerie Figueroa scored a game-high 16 points as the Governors (6-0) remained unbeaten in a win against the Admirals (0-4).

Senior forward Ava Santoro scored a team-high six points in the loss.

Sayreville 48, Monmouth 30

Sophomore Natalia Glazewski scored a game-high 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as the Bombers (4-1) raced past the Falcons (2-2).

Junior Antonella Ibarra scored a team-high 10 points in the loss.

Freehold Boro 55, Rahway 38

Junior Avery Wyatt scored a team-high 17 points as the Colonials (2-2) pulled away from the Indians (0-4). Freehold Boro led 28-24 at halftime before outscoring Rahway 15-6 in the third quarter and 12-8 in the fourth quarter. Junior Olivia Batchelor added 16 points. Freshman Mackenzie Sims chipped in 12 points.

Sophomore guard Jade Davis scored a game-high 19 points in the loss.

At Southern Regional

Southern 55, Our Lady of Mercy 41

Sophomore Mackenzie Sininsky erupted for a career-high 21 points as the Rams (4-2) topped the Villagers (1-4). Freshman Mia Pratola added 11 points. Sophomore Gabriella Lum chipped in nine points.

Trinity Hall 64, Lenape 62 (OT)

In a matchup of top 20 teams in NJ, Senior forward and Bucknell commit Grace Feeney exploded for a game-high 27 points to lead the #7 Monarchs (5-0) past the formerly unbeaten #15 Indians (3-1). Senior guard Bridget Rigney added 12 points. Freshman guard Ella Krayl added 9 points on three timely treys. Senior guard and Emory commit Whitney Hobson and senior forward Niamh Stapleton, a Tufts commit, each chipped in eight points.  Trinity also got a huge contribution off the bench from O’Malley Eldridge, an Army West Point commit for lacrosse.  Down 9 at half, Eldridge’s hustle and energy sparked the Monarchs in the second half.

New Egypt Holiday Tournament

Salem 36, New Egypt 24

Senior Olivia Stillwell scored a team-high 15 points, but the Warriors (1-4) were outscored 12-3 in the fourth quarter and fell to the Rams (2-1).
