According to calendar-adjusted Central Statistical Bureau data at constant prices published on December 30th, compared with November 2024, total retail trade turnover increased by 3.3 % in November 2025.

For food products, the volume of retail trade increased by 0.8 %, for non-food products, except automotive fuel, it rose by 4.4 %, and for automotive fuel, it increased by 4.6 %.

The largest year-on-year increases were recorded in the retail sale of information and communication equipment in specialised stores (16.6 %), followed by the retail sale of pharmaceutical and medical goods (14.6 %), and the retail sale of electrical household appliances in specialised stores (10.3 %).

However, lower turnover was recorded for the retail sale of cultural and recreation goods (12.5 %), retail sale of clothing, footwear and leather goods (9.7 %), as well as retail sale of hardware, instruments, construction materials and sanitary equipment (3.6 %).

Adjusted for calendar effects, the total year-on-year retail trade turnover at current prices increased by 4.6 %.

Month-on-month, retail trade turnover rose by 0.3 % (seasonally adjusted data at constant prices). For food products, the volume of retail trade increased by 1.4 %, for non-food products, except automotive fuel, it reduced by 0.6 %, and for automotive fuel it rose by 0.4 %.

The strongest month-on-month growth was registered in the retail sale via stalls and markets (5.5 %), retail sale of pharmaceutical and medical goods (5.3 %), and retail sale via mail order houses or via Internet (4.0 %). 

The largest turnover declines were recorded in the retail sale of clothing, footwear and leather goods (7.0 %), retail sale of cultural and recreation goods (6.5 %), and retail sale in non-specialised stores selling mainly non-food products (6.0 %).

Adjusted for seasonal effects, the total month-on-month retail trade turnover at current prices fell by 2.4 %.
