Republican Catholics are having a tough time right now.

“I know that the Pope is holy, but Trump is MY god though!”

  2. To be honest, I’m not actually sure they like the Bible either.

I think they just like the bumper stickers.

  3. “When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.” — Leviticus 19:33-34 (NIV)

Apparently they never really read the Bible, and even if they did it would be too woke for them.

There’s nothing more hypocritical than a tattooed american “christian” promoting ICE attacks on immigrants. Their God is Mammon.

To be fair, there have been plenty of instances in history where very religious people split from the church/disliked the pope. The UK named Henry IIX leader of the church, Luther was not a fan…etc.

  6. They don’t love the bible, most have never read it, or worse, are functionally illiterate and unable to read it. They love the power in society they gain from openly and loudly claiming the religion. They love the unearned superiority they feel. They love to imagine their perceived enemies burning for eternity. They love the get out of jail free card being a church leader gets them from southern and midwest judges.

A recent South Park depicted Jesus as a douche. When one of the characters asked what was wrong with him the response was that he became a Christian. Pretty spot on.
