    Ruh oh!

I think we should ban AI in the name of “international security of america” or something…..is the Department of War sober at this time of day or does it even matter?

  2. Reasonable_Nail_741 on

Which AI is it? And then the question was that AI trained by any chance in China 🤣

  3. How would we even know the difference between that and what our own government and oligarchs are trying to do with AI?

You can remove ‘AI’ from the title, they use everything they could from America against America.

Another bullshit AI article , if you are looking for an authoritarian government the US already has it , way more corrupt than many countries.

You’re telling me, a country that’s actually investing in properly educating their population to be technologically competitive instead of theologically repressive is coming out on top when it comes to weaponizing cyber tools? I’m shocked 😮

  7. Article written by Palantir? They aren’t even trying to hide their North Korean style propaganda anymore.

America is using China’s lack of environmental standards against China. Seems fair enough.

  9. I am more afraid of the American techbros and billionaires and their hatred of democracy than I am of China. This all feels like Karma.

this article is written by a strategist at Palantir lmaoo

the company that provided israel with surveillance AI tech is writing about how china is doing the same with the uighur population. i’m not even going to read further.

  11. Obviously. I bet Russian trolls are just ai now, too. Social media is filled with it and China is using it just the same.

  12. So this is the author:

    > Jack Crovitz is a deployment strategist at Palantir Technologies and executive editor of the Republic, the Palantir Foundation’s journal on technology and national security.

Lmao the same Palantir that will make billions from the new Cold War they are trying to manufacture?

And this is the opening case the author made:

    > An agent of the Chinese domestic security state recently asked an artificial intelligence model to plan a sophisticated surveillance system targeting the minority Uyghur population.

Seriously bro? Don’t you work for the company that is powering the U.S. surveillance state using AI?

Jesus Christ these people really have no shame whatsoever huh

Ford doesn’t need to worry, let’s say consumers stop buying their cars full stop, I’m sure they can get a sized up government contract supplying directly to the US government, and some random middle eastern governments the US negotiates with, if they’ve been especially good.

All our foreign adversaries have been using American products like social media platforms against us for years.

  15. The irony that this was written by somebody well/ highly positioned at Palantir is incredible. Real self aware wolves nonsense.

This is not obvious to Redditors? You guys think all these people are just seamlessly aligned, huh? That the comments that rift off of one another using the same tone and style are people?

  17. i love how absolutely no commenter here has anything but vitriol for this author or its call for support.

put the bullet in the gun, spin the chamber, have your fun.
