Well, yes, celebrities are just as capable of Duckspeak as anyone else, their voices just carry further.
I think that’s often the case when it comes to celebrities endorsing anything political. They’re advised to do so, to market themselves as ‘socially conscientious’.
The reality is they probably don’t care.
Pretty normal celeb behaviour. If there’s a bandwagon stuffed with the gold of audience acceptance, they’ll jump on.
Funny this accusation always only applies to Palestine and not the other way
Mhm, and I’m sure she’s perfectly informed about everything.
I don’t think you have to know much about history to know that levelling every civilian structure in a country, doing target practice on innocent animals, torching crops and putting 355 bullets into a car where you know for sure a 6 year old girl is sheltering among the corpses of her family is somewhat wrong and there is no reason, cause or excuse in this world that makes any of that okay.
And to know that the side that killed 15000 children is a little worse than the ones that killed 36 (though they can both go to hell)Â
There’s such a hypocritical arrogance to celebrities like her. They can be as opinionated as they want, but anyone who is equally as opinionated in the other direction is automatically discounted as ignorant/virtue signalling/bandwagon-jumping etc. Disagreeing is one thing, but her sneery ilk think they have The One Correct Opinion and anyone who doesn’t share it is inherently suspect as a result.
I’m not sure how much knowledge is required to understand that genocide is bad.
funny how she doesn’t declare herself to be jewish, the author of the article has to inject that themselves in the middle of the article. She isn’t impartial to the debate.
Are 70,000 Palestinians still dead? Has Israel discovered a way to resurect 25,000 children?
Nope?
I ask because if you can’t bring the kids back you’re going to have one hell of a time justifying killing them.
You know when she said this do you think she took a second and thought to herself “hang on.. I’m a celebrity talking on this issue regularly too”. Or does she lack the self awareness?
I think it’s the other way around.
Most people know about the horrible things done by the bad guys of the Palestinian side, such as groups like like Hamas: the murderous terrorist attacks, the genocidal rhetoric, the hostage taking, the sexual violence, etc. There’s been no shortage of coverage, revulsion, and condemnation regarding these atrocities, and rightly so.
By contrast, most Brits don’t seem to know much about the actions of the IDF and settler groups on the Israeli side of the conflict beyond the current situation in Gaza, and perhaps some vague talk of “settler violence” in the West Bank. Were they to look into the specifics of some of these events, I suspect most Brits would be quite horrified. For this reason alone, closer examination of this conflict is more likely to disillusion people regarding Israel than Palestine.
Suffice to say, neither side (broadly speaking) in this conflict has behaved like perfect, blameless angels, and there’s certainly nothing ‘hidden’ in the history of the Israel/Palestine conflict that just magically makes everything Israel does okay.
So was she protesting outside of a palestinian play on the west end when she didn’t know anything about it?
Oh look, the Daily Fail getting the important interviews first again, if in doubt ask some nobody soap opera “star”, they’ll know
pro israeli actress is pro israeli – more at 10.Â
Tracy does whatever she can to shutdown even the mildest criticism of Israel, and has a million excuses ready for its war crimes. When those run out she simply says people supporting Palestinians don’t know what they talking about or are antisemites. Best to ignore her.
She’s never made a mistake about other people’s opinions….

Oh.
Simply doesn’t like that people disagree with her.
This is the same Ms Oberman who in 2022 sued a renowned academic, Dr Philip Proudfoot for have a blocklist of Jews on Twitter. The case backfired on her when his claim that he used Block Chain to bar trolls from his feed was accepted by the judge. She had to pay his legal costs and not repeat her accusations.
My conclusion is that she uses her heritage to attempt to shut down valid criticism and discussion.

How much do *you* know about it, Tracy-Ann?
How much does one *need* to know about it to speak in support of the side that is under occupation and has people killed at a ratio of at least 100 times more than the other side? And we’re not just talking about since the invasion of Gaza here, this pattern has been the same for 30 years or more.
Shall we mention that Israel still occupies part of Syria, I think also south Lebanon, and certainly violates its ceasefire agreement in Lebanon every day, as well as its operations in Palestine?
Israel committing genocide isn’t exactly a nuanced view. 100+ reputable agencies have accused Israel for genocide for quite some time now.
Prominent Jewish groups and figures have said the same and accused Israel of the same. There are International Arrest warrants issues against several members of Israel’s government.
Not to mention they are literally recording themselves committing crimes.
I can only think Eastenders need some controversy. Any publicity is good pubclity.
Her + the Countdown bimbo and Jimmy Carr are some of the most disgusting figures on British TV.
Where did Oberman get her degree international relations?
Why should anybody care about the opinion of a soap actress over any random walking down the street on this issue? She’s entitled to her opinion, but what makes this news, or makes her opinion relevant to anybody else?

What I know about the Rwandan genocide could fit on a postcard but that does not mean I do not know enough to say that genocide is wrong. If celebrities were claiming they had the perfect plan for the crisis then she would have a point, that is not the case however. A primary school child could tell you that killing innocent children is wong.

Im OOTL, what’s the deal with celebrities supporting El-Fattah? Everyone in here seems to be talking in general terms about Israel/Palestine but the article is about specific posts/threats that person made.
