Instead of the dismissed Sanela Pliško and the current deputy mayor Vita Paoletić, Slađana Pletikos-Pernar and Vlada Može (age 77) were brought to the Council, one of whom has not worked in culture for a day, and the other did not even know where she was brought

While most cultural figures are preparing for New Year’s celebrations, the Istrian National Theater in Pula is rocked by a scandal caused by the mayor Peđa Grbin and his coalition associates. This SDP member and lawyer by profession decided, namely, without the conditions prescribed by law, to remove the member of the Theater Council Sanela Pliško, a respected cultural worker and non-partisan person who came to that position through a public tender, and to install in her place retired economist Slađana Pletikos-Pernar, who, according to her own admission, has no experience in the cultural sector, but that is why she was on the electoral list of Goran Mihovilović, Grbin’s coalition partner. And Mihovilović himself was recently installed by Grbin in the Council for Programs in the Arena, in the place of the also abruptly dismissed Pula producer Edij Cukerić.
