Today, the U.S. Embassy in Pristina extended its New Year 2026 greetings through a message addressed to the citizens of Kosovo, as well as friends and partners, highlighting the importance of cooperation and shared values between the two friendly countries.
In its message, the Embassy expressed hope that 2026 will bring development, peace, and progress for all citizens.
“As we welcome 2026, we send our warmest wishes to all our friends and partners in Kosovo. We hope the coming year brings peace, prosperity, and shared progress. Happy New Year from all of us at the U.S. Embassy in Pristina,” the message published by the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo reads.
Meanwhile, through a video message produced by the staff of the U.S. Embassy in Pristina, the close cooperation developed during the year now ending was highlighted, particularly in the fields of economic development and the strengthening of Kosovo’s private sector. In this context, the role of American companies that have invested in Kosovo was also emphasized.
Micah Savidge, head of the Economic Unit at the U.S. Embassy, stressed that these partnerships have contributed directly to expanding economic opportunities.
Meanwhile, Kevin Miles, Director for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, underlined the progress achieved in the field of security, citing cooperation with Kosovo’s relevant institutions.
Separately, the Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo, Ahmet Ismaili, announced on Monday that Kosovo’s economy is expected to close the year with growth of 3.9 percent.
