  1. Really hope it goes better than the “fast tracked” development he did in my area that ford pushes through which had to delay because they screwed up multiple times and then couldn’t build to the capacity they wanted.

It took longer than if they just followed the usual “red tape” ford so much hates.

  2. A great opportunity to invest, unless of course once again the conservatives eventually decide these zones are no longer politically convenient and decide to nullify their contracts and assurances and just wipe out however many hundreds of millions got pushed into them, with any right to relief from the courts summarily stripped.

I wonder if any business leaders noticed the last time that happened?

On this episode of “Intervention: Government Edition” find out if Conservatives will reject socialist-style central planning and government picking winners, or accept it wholeheartedly because it’s been dressed up in the right language framing Leftists as the enemies of developmeeeeeeeeeent!

We’ll be right back after a word from Doug Ford’s sponsors! (said sponsors receive no undue benefit from donating to Ford’s campaign or CPO coffers)

  4. As a committed yimby I would like to nominate the entire city of Toronto be designated a special economic zone to fast track housing development

  5. And in these zones, corporations can ignore provincial regulations surrounding the environment, workers’ rights, and Indigenous consultations. Did someone in Doug Ford’s staff learn about corporate extraterritoriality in Shadowrun and thought it was good idea, rather than the warning it was?
