  1. Not from Dublin myself, is there something happening at temple bar like an event (other than New Years) more like a concert for it

Did you spend yer entire evening watching the Earthcam and waiting for the perfect moment to screen grab and have a whinge?

  3. Honestly what’s the appeal?

Squashed, drinking 15 euro pints, loud. No place to piss and a billion euro for a taxi if you are lucky.

We have friends over and had the chats while watching a YouTube playlist of 00s music.

    It’s nice

  4. Was that tonight? Dear God that’s insane, how could you enjoy any kind of celebration in a crowd like that? 🤯

Spending time with a few friends over drinks at home vs. This? I know what im choosing.

  6. The same people commenting and posting about this are the people who will say the world is gone too soft. This is the same as every concert.

  7. Why would anyone want to be part of that. I can feel myself bursting for a piss without a toilet in sight just seeing the picture.

Simultaneously jealous of outgoing people that enjoy things like this. Fair play to them.

  8. Such a badly laid out city… Dublin is just bottlenecks, so little space for the amount of people in it

Feck that! I’m tipsy watching taskmaster after going out to see the fireworks the locals set off while saying Happy New Year to the neighbours. Great night all around!

  10. Just seen a countdown video on a story from there. Just every single person videoing it. I’m not usually one to complain about that sort of thing but it looked so stupid with everyone videoing, zero craic

  11. Honestly, watching other people live their lives on a livestream and taking a screenshot to post on Reddit and complain about them seems like the absolute last thing I’d be doing on New Year’s Eve, but fair play to you if that’s what you want to be doing

  12. I just got home from that street. It was uneasy at times. If there was a sudden surge or rush of people you felt you’d be in big trouble.
