Turkish low-cost airline AJet has announced the launch of new direct routes to Albania’s capital, Tirana, from two major Turkish cities. Starting in March 2026, the carrier will connect Istanbul and Ankara directly with Tirana, expanding its network in the Balkans.

Flight Schedule and Fares

According to the announcement, flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport to Tirana will commence on March 2, 2026, operating five times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Services from Ankara will begin on March 5, with two weekly flights on Thursdays and Saturdays. The airline is promoting introductory one-way fares starting at $35 for the Istanbul-Tirana route, aiming to attract budget-conscious travelers.

Tourism and Connectivity Boost

AJet highlighted March as an ideal time to visit Tirana, noting the city’s calmer spring atmosphere and vibrant public spaces like Skanderbeg Square. The new air link is expected to strengthen tourism and business ties between Türkiye and Albania, facilitating easier travel for visitors and the diaspora. This expansion reflects AJet’s strategy to grow its regional network and underscores the deepening connectivity and economic cooperation between the two nations.
