BUSINESS NEWS RELEASE
Los Alamos Mold Inspectors — a medically-informed residential and commercial mold inspection service — is expanding education and support for residents who experience worsening symptoms in winter months or while spending extended time indoors.
Co-owner and lead inspector Dennis Morrison provides thorough, evidence-based mold inspections, moisture mapping, and environmental sampling for homeowners, renters, and commercial spaces. Dennis focuses on identifying water damage, indoor mold growth, and hidden moisture intrusion that may be contributing to illness or discomfort in the home.
“Our clients often assume they’re dealing with seasonal illness or flu,” Dennis said. “But many families start feeling worse the more time they spend indoors — and environmental factors like moisture damage or poor ventilation can be an important piece of the puzzle.”
Partner and environmental health advocate Jessica Hoffland operates a separate practice, Charisma Healing LLC, which supports individuals recovering from mold-related illness through nervous system and limbic system support, stress-regulation tools, and education on navigating life during environmental remediation.
A Mission Shaped by Personal Experience
Jessica and Dennis share that their work comes from deeply personal experience.
Before launching their businesses, their own family spent years seeking medical answers for unexplained symptoms — visiting multiple providers and specialists without clarity. It was only after discovering that mold exposure was a significant environmental factor that their situation finally made sense.
“Once we learned that our environment was playing a major role in our health, everything changed,” Jessica said. “We don’t want other families to go through years of confusion like we did. Our mission is to bring compassion, validation, and practical answers to people who are struggling and don’t know where to turn.”
That experience inspired them to dedicate their work to helping others find environmental clarity — and to provide both inspection support and nervous-system-informed recovery tools.
Together, Los Alamos Mold Inspectors and Charisma Healing offer a compassionate, non-alarmist, whole-environment approach — addressing both the physical environment and the human nervous system response to mold exposure.
Some common warning signs of potential environmental triggers include:
• Feeling sicker at home but better when leaving the house
• Persistent sinus pressure, cough, or throat irritation
• Brain fog, fatigue, dizziness, or headaches that worsen indoors
• Musty, earthy, or damp odors
• Visible staining, bubbling paint, or window condensation
• History of leaks, roof damage, or plumbing issues
Los Alamos Mold Inspectors emphasizes medically-aware reporting and collaborates with remediation professionals and health providers when appropriate.
“Our goal is to empower families with clarity, compassion, and practical next steps,” Jessica said. “People deserve to understand both what’s happening in their homes — and what they can do to support their health during the process.”
The team serves Los Alamos, White Rock, Santa Fe, Española, and surrounding areas.
