Inter Milan midfielder and the all-time top scorer of the Armenia national team, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, addressed his compatriots with a New Year message, congratulating them on the holiday and touching upon issues of great importance to the country.
In his address, the 36-year-old footballer wished everyone peace, love, and prosperity, and also expressed support for Armenians who, according to him, are being illegally held in prisons of a neighboring state. Mkhitaryan emphasized that he hopes for the triumph of justice and the safe return of everyone to their homeland.
Full text of Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s message:
“On this special day, I would like to send my warm wishes to all of you. May peace, love, and prosperity always be with you. I wish you good luck and strong health this year and in the years to come.
I could not write this message without separately addressing our compatriots who are being illegally held in prisons of a neighboring state. May this year become a year of new hopes and a safe return home, and may the world finally act in the name of justice and impartiality.
Happy New Year.”
It should be noted that in the current season, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has played 13 matches for Inter in all competitions, registering one assist.
