I went there in 1981 and I still have dreams about the place. It’s just too much for a human brain to take in. I’ve been dreaming of going back ever since. I’m 69 years old now and I still get misty whenever I see the Merced River. I swam in the river when I was on my way into the park. Me and my friends spotted a rope swing and stopped for about an hour to swim and cool off before going into the park. The place wasn’t so crowded back then.
