The current president of Argentina, Milei, would side with Donald Trump even if he bombed Buenos Aires; imagine Venezuela. It is very difficult to see a president so submissive to another country.

I don’t like Maduro at all, but when the US invaded Iraq nothing good came out of it.
Why would this be any different?

Except for a very few countries, all others will be “against the invasion” (or don’t say anything).
They will condemn the invasion, call for a peaceful solution, pretend that nothing is happening, and recognize the new government as soon as possible.

If you wonder how ordinary Russians support Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, just look how many Americans are supporting Trump now. Propaganda is one hell of a drug.

* Do I like Trump? No
* Do I like Maduro? Absolutely not
My “disliking Trump” is like disliking that annoying uncle you see at every family gathering. You probably don’t want to meet him and you don’t want to talk to him much.
Meanwhile, my disliking Maduro and all such dictators is like disliking dictators. Much stronger. I would prefer that no dictator, especially one that the citizens hate, existed. All dictators who opress citizens should be prosecuted
Remember those statements are just them playing politics for there current agenda
those that agree or disagree do so because of the optics of their agenda on the international scale that is all

I hate Trump, but all that really matters is how Venezuela feels about it, I suppose.

Apparently Redditors are going to have a hard time learning that Maduro wasn’t a nice guy.

The President of Spain, equivalent to the Prime Minister’s role in the UK, has issued the following statement:
>*“The Government of Spain is conducting a thorough monitoring of the events in Venezuela. Our embassy and consulates are operational.*
*We call for de-escalation and responsibility. International Law and the principles of the United Nations Charter must be respected.”*
This is the **only official statement so far**. Saying that Spain is *against* what is happening would be an exaggeration.
What Spain has done instead is to step aside using the classic EU-style *“deeply concerned”* stance.

Bolivia should be green on the map, not red.

Invasion?
Will the western and progressive countries sanction the US like they do for other countries?
Chile should be a special case, because while the sitting president (Grabiel Boric) [condemned ](https://x.com/GabrielBoric/status/2007408703922696253)the attack, the president-elect (José Antonio Kast) [celebrated it](https://x.com/joseantoniokast/status/2007456165547102659).
