I have no issues in principle with the idea. I think, for many reasons, it is a good one. But. politically it is often hard getting two municipalities to cooperate in the same region in the same country. imagine that issue multiplied by six countries, six languages, and six political elites all wanting power.

Yes I’d like that to happen. Mostly du to all my danish and Swedish coworkers over the last decade. Made me realise that we’re all cut from the same cloth. We have a lot of the same work ethics, attitudes, family values, humour and so on.
Would it work? I dunno. But I know that I get along with most of them.

We Norwegians will never sacrifice our independence for international cooperation. Except when it comes to American military bases and soldiers ofcourse.
Sweden, Denmark and Finland are already in a union, just waiting for Norway to join.

No. Centralization is bad. Cooperation is good. The EU is a reasonable organization, but in recent times i think they have overstepped just how far the cooperation was supposed to go. The same would go for a Nordic union, with multiple languages and multiple different peoples. It would just be a centralized mess that ignored the issues concerning whomever was not in charge at the moment.

A Nordic union is not a bad idea, but would probably never happen. But it’s a horrible flag. Why should the main color be yellow when only one of the countries has yellow in the flag? And the cross design is the same as in the Icelandic flag, the smallest nordic country. It just doesn’t make sense
