Greece’s Foreign Ministry on Saturday afternoon said it is “closely monitoring” the situation in Venezuela in a post on X, adding that the country’s embassy is in contact with the Greek community.

“Greece is closely monitoring the situation in Venezuela, in close coordination with its EU partners and the Greek Embassy in Caracas, which is in contact with the Greek community in the country and ready to provide assistance,” the Foreign Minister said.

The US captured Venezuela’s leader Nicolás Maduro in a “large-scale strike” early Saturday and flew him out of the country, US President Donald Trump said.
