  1. We must by all means boycott all US travel don’t give one Canadian cent to the Cheeto in Washington

Stop giving money to the US. They’re quickly becoming a terrorist organization.

This is a good thing and I remind everyone that flair regularly offers low plane tickets for $56 one way. I know we like to joke that “Canadians can’t travel” but you absolutely can if you can just bare the flight part of it!

I mean Jan 12 – Jan 18 YYZ to YVR is $171 with flair.. so…

  4. It’s less inconvenient to plan to go to a different location than to cancel something already planned.

  5. Too expensive to travel in Canada. Way better value abroad or down south in most cases.

  6. I did a bunch of Canadian travel in 2025, and it was great, but the reality is that prices here are just insane compared to what you get anywhere else. I travel a lot, and trips to Europe and Asia cost the same as travelling within Canada, which is just nuts.

  7. Some years ago they had a promotion where you could travel across the country by rail for what was a really great price. Wish they’d bring that back again.

  8. It’s going to be an interesting summer for domestic (air) travel in Canada. The bottom has really dropped out on demand to the United States, so capacity that is usually deployed to US destinations in the summer will be redeployed domestically. This will be great for consumers looking to explore within Canada (although it will drive demand and price up for car rentals and accommodations). It’s going to be a bloodbath for Canadian airlines as they compete over the limited domestic demand. Air Canada and WestJet have somewhat of a cushion as they have the means to deploy their assets to farther away destinations. I’ll be curious to see what Porter and Flair do.

  9. I ain’t traveling to the US nor am I traveling within Canada while everything here is this expensive.

Literally cheaper for me to holiday in Europe than stay in Montreal from Toronto.

  10. I’d rather go Asia or Europe than travel here in Canada or US. Our purchasing power isn’t just worth it at the moment.
