  1. And they all happen to have shared the same horrible hairdresser… Jesus what were the chances?

  2. What a coincidence, four bandmates living in the same city right before their breakthrough. What are the chances?

I heard that teams who play in the world cup final stay in the same hotel as each other the night before.

  3. I used to live near Stuart Sutcliffe’s place near the art college. George and Paul would get the bus into Liverpool, but John was mean with money and slept on Stuart’s couch.

There was me thinking they were from completely random parts of the UK and they learned the Scouse accent for effect.

You won’t believe how close a couple of the founding members of Oasis lived to each other growing up.

  6. They all permanently moved to London (including mansions in nearby Surrey) soon after becoming famous and wealthy. The only one to *stay* in Liverpool was Pete Best, the drummer the Beatles fired when they signed their first big record deal.

I get why this would seem noteworthy to an American — the country is enormous. The UK, by contrast, is tiny but punches well above its weight in music and entertainment, often rivaling the US on the global stage.

Because we’re all packed onto a small island, it’s actually quite normal for famous people to be born close together. You’re rarely far from a random blue plaque on a house or in a park, telling you that someone hugely influential was born there or did something remarkable nearby.

  8. If they lived any closer they would’ve hated each other and the Beatles would never have formed.

Wow The Beatles were all from Liverpool, I thought one of them was from Ulaanbator.

Given the nature of English cities they probably didn’t cross over that much growing up.

  11. If you think that’s crazy, Liam and Noel Gallagher grew up in the same house

  12. The Hitler/Freud/Trotsky/Stalin one was really interesting.

This one is a case of “no shit Sherlock”

  13. Apart from Ringo who was in Liverpool already they’d just moved back from Hamburg so not really surprising. Also as they’re all from Liverpool

this is again not very surprising lol.

  14. You know 2 miles isn’t a short distance, right?
Even if it were within 5 or 6 miles, that’s still within the same city, which is not surprising at all.
What’s supposed to be the impressive fact about this?
