Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu today presented 10 actions achieved by the government in 2025. Among the most important, there is the securing of the largest financial package received by Moldova from the European Union, amounting to 1.9 billion euros.
According to the official, another achievement is the completion of the Energy Independence Line – Vulcanesti – Chisinau, as well as the completion of 202 projects through the European Village II programme.
‘’This year, we saw the highest number of students choosing to stay and study at universities of Moldova. We also introduced free meals for children in grades V to IX,’’ said Igor Grosu.
At the same time, in 2025, the authorities allocated 3.2 billion lei for road infrastructure.
‘’We launched an extensive local road rehabilitation programme – Europe is Close – through which we will finance 579 projects,’’ noted Igor Grosu.
The speaker said that another important achievement was that Moldova had become a member of the Single Euro Payments Area – SEPA.
‘’We also managed to include the Cobza in the UNESCO heritage. Together with you, we succeeded in gaining a pro-European parliamentary majority again, which will ensure our path towards joining the European Union,’’ added Igor Grosu.
The Moldovan authorities propose to continue implementing initiatives and programmes for citizens in 2026. Priorities include: economic growth, completion of energy and infrastructure projects, increasing citizens’ incomes and advancing the EU accession process.
