Well call me a scare-monger by I for one am pretty worried. We have 3 years of this sh*t to go. I don’t want to believe it either but look around: there’s no reason why he wouldn’t at least try to get his military to do this.
That’s the big question I think, how far are the armed forces willing to follow a fascist leader.
I think the Taiwanese should be very worried right now too.

I doubt that the USA-populace could stomach what a trade war with Europe would do to the country. Neither would the US military be okay with the loss of capabilities if they were to loose all their current EU bases.
But those are the obvious first steps the EU would take, if it wee forced to defend against an attack on it’s sovereignty.
Geopolitically the EU could then re-align even stronger with China, which they are in a way better position in compared to the United States.

Probably in hindsight a big mistake to buy F35s for their air force. They have only three patrol vessels off Greenland and a very small army. I am sure Trump and his cronies see this as an easy military takeover. Big question is around a NATO country invading another NATO country but I doubt this will stop Trump. It was illegal to deploy US troops in the street of the US but Trump simply got around that with an executive order. What ICE is doing is also illegal but obviously MAGA can do whatever illegal activity they want including killing unarmed civilians in boats they destroyed. The Armed Forces has also demonstrated they will follow any illegal orders given just like in Germany during the 30s and 40s.
