Montana is very surprising to me, considering how rural and Republican they are. Is it just the amount of mining jobs in the state?

Diversity is directly related to lower union rates.

    There’s a reason why billionaires are pro-immigration.

Ironically South Carolina was the first state to leave the union in 1860. Old habits die hard. (Just a joke)

  4. Interesting thing about union rates.

At its peak, 1 in 3 American workers were part of a union. Most of them connected to the auto industry, to add the vast majority of manufacturing were related to auto manufacturing in some way shape or form.

Now one thing that’s important to note is that most union jobs didn’t disappear to Mexico or china at first, rather most northern union jobs were lost to the southern right to work states at first, then those manufacturing jobs were lost to Mexico due to NAFTA.

    Taft Hartley was a mistake.

Not surprised about Hawai’i. The unions were mistreated by the plantations which were backed by the Republicans. Republicans got overthrown and the unions are supported by the Democrats

Downvotes incoming. I’ve worked on both sides. The unions can suck it. Taking dues from everyone only to protect the few lazy employees that actually need them. I worked next to so many drunks on the line that couldn’t keep up. So they get sent to therapy and once it’s completed, their same spot on the line is waiting for them.

Quite surprised the West Coast is actually that high. I tend to think of Unions as an old, industrial Eastern thing.
