  1. You might as well tell your grumpy old neighbor to stop yelling at kids to get off his lawn.

The Prime Minister now have a secret adress… she is worried after what happened in Venezuela

Trump is a symptom of a country that has lost it’s soul. Just as in Argentina, the upper and middle classes here have sat back and let it all unfold, thinking that they won’t be touched. That is, they didn’t until their economy literally collapsed under their feet because of authoritarian meddling with the currency–like Trump is trying to do here by the way. The America I grew up in is long gone. We’re a country run by billionaires who own the media to keep everyone ignorant and focused on pitting one tribe against the next in order to distract away from their political and institutional violence. We are a nation of cowards now. A nation of people who know that what is happening right under our feet is utterly, plainly, morally wrong, but do nothing.

    >I have to say it very directly to the United States: It makes absolutely no sense to talk about the need for the United States to take over Greenland.

    >The United States has no right to annex one of the three countries in the Danish Realm. The Kingdom of Denmark – and thus Greenland – is part of NATO and is thus covered by the alliance’s security guarantee. We already have a defense agreement between the Kingdom and the United States that gives the United States wide access to Greenland. And we in the Kingdom have invested significantly in security in the Arctic.

    >I would therefore strongly urge that the United States stop the threats against a historically close ally and against another country and another people who have said very clearly that they are not for sale.

    >Mette Frederiksen Prime Minister

    The Danish PM

    That’ll show him!

Why not ban them formally from entering the country and consider them criminals

  6. Seems like the US government wants to go to war with pretty much everyone at this point. They should take the hint from the war in Ukraine that going to war with people that are on par with you technologically is a bad idea, even if you have the upper hand on paper.

  7. Trump is delusional if he believes that he “conquered” Venezuela by simply removing Maduro. The group that shared power with Maduro is still intact, and they control the military.

Skipping right over to Greenland is a bit premature, even by Trump standards.

  8. You know… maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea for the whole world to come together and go to war with the US… setting their differences aside

  9. What a weird situation to be in. When NATA was formed it kept us safe from countries like China and Russia with the fear of knowing if those countries ever attacked they would have to face a great power of unified countries banded together as allies. But this… this was never planned for where one of those NATA nations we though was an ally has gone rouge threatening other members. We have no contingencies for this. Does NATO protect say Canada or Greenland or any other Allies against the US who is also a NATO member? I fear the answer is NATO would just try to use diplomacy, sanctions or whatever economical pressure to punish the US in this case due to it’s overwhelming military strength leaving those NATO countries to try and protect their sovereignty much like Russia has with Ukraine.

  10. The whole NATO force should push them back and then take chubs to France for his indictment on 50+ crimes just this year. No statute of limitations there.

Lol surely they know what happens when they ask a spoiled brat to stop whatever they are doing

What I’m hearing is war crimes charges and someone should snatch up Trump and send him to the Hague.

I mean, he said it’s fine.

  13. TomatoesB4Potatoes on

You can’t reason with someone that came to a decision being irrational. Trump does not respond to facts and reason.

  14. TonkaHeroDreamCake on

If this was really about security, we’d be in talks about building a military base there. And we might have one there already

  15. BlueBloodLive on

Trump could float the idea of “buying” and unifying Ireland as the 51st state and all of a sudden 70 million people will become experts in Irish historical affairs overnight.

Once he says it, his base will bite. Regardless of how plausible it is or isn’t, and a simple statement like this will be taken as offensive, instead of the complete capitulation that they expect.

  16. Historically, telling Trump “Stop” hasn’t worked out for anyone. Rapists gonna rape.

  17. Stop telling start threatening, he’s a pussy with no spine who always backs down at the slightest hint of pressure

  18. Do they want to return the favor we paid to Maduro? I long to see the Cheeto in chains

Any disastrous action that the administration embarks upon which has very good-looking headlines and an immediate glow of ‘success’ — it will do without thinking twice.

    Think about Iraq 2003

It takes years for the true catastrophic consequences to come out.

This White House and its enablers are motivated only by a desire for immediate thrills — and glowing headlines.

The consequences don’t mean a thing to them

So yes, I can easily see this country embarking on some insane crusade to attack and annex Cuba, Columbia, Greenland, Iceland and Canada.

Given the extraordinary power our military has, it’s easy to see how a power-mad narcissistic adolescent who wants his next power fix before he’s done with his current high — I can see it all spin out of control very quickly.

They’re telling themselves Venezuela was a slam dunk. OF course they don’t stop for a single minute to think about how their actions will affect millions of real human beings.

I think this is the start of a true reign of terror.

  20. I don’t think that is going to actually get Trump to stop this insanity. Quite frankly, I would think the 1st Squadron of the Royal Danish Navy should be put on a higher state of combat readiness and more troops should be sent to Greenland, even if only as a tripwire.

Because the man in the White House has completely lost the plot.

  21. They should start running commercials in the US asking parents if they’re ready for their children to die for this

  22. Next up: Denmark is the source of all the fentanyl entering the U.S,, and/or has weapons of mass destruction and the world’s fourth largest military.

  23. Lemme see if I can fix this paragraph for you CNBC: ORIGINAL: Trump ordered a military operation over the weekend that captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife. The pair has been brought to the U.S. on drug-related charges.

FIXED: Trump, who has already illegally pushed the United States to its breaking point, ordered an extra-judicial infiltration into a sovereign nation and oversaw the kidnapping of the head of the nation and his wife. The pair has been illegally detained in New York on drug charges similar to other political figures who have been pardoned by Mr. Trump.

While Nicolas Maduro is a horrible person, no act of the United States should be seen as anything other than what Mr. Trump has called it; an attempt to seize power and oil from a country who chose its own destiny.

  24. errdayimshuffln on

Yeah. Denmark does not get it. Don’t talk. Prepare to defend as quietly and secretly as you can and prepare counter measures. Make the US regret it. Tough talk gives Trumps ilk the go ahead signal. I say this as a US citizen. The President is acting illegally without restraint. He has gone rogue and has for a while. He is a typically bully though. President Bone Spurs is really a coward. You just need to give him a metaphorical bloody nose.

  25. Imagine US starting WW3 by invading Greenland and teaming up with Russia against NATO.

  26. He’s not going to stop. He’s going to take Greenland and the world will do nothing. Trump and Putin have it all figured out. Nobody wants to be the one to stand up to the guy waving the gun around.

  27. His childish fixation should be addressed by mental health professionals. The country might also benefit from an appropriate assessment in order to determine if the 25th Amendment is justified; “and the Congress may by Law provide for the Case of Removal, Death, Resignation or Inability, both of the President and Vice President, declaring what Officer shall then act as President, and such Officer shall act accordingly, until the Disability be removed, or a President shall be elected.” Inability and disability being determined by such a professional.

Americans like to blame everything on an old senile pedophile but they won’t do anything to stop him, they voted for him and enabled him to crate more wars

  29. Constant_Section1491 on

Didn’t he recently say to send few Danish immigrants to US instead of from Somalia because he want those white people genes in the US? lmao

  30. These leaders need a wake up call. The capture of Maduro shows that this administration isn’t joking around and they need to come up with a different strategy than simply wagging their fingers.

  31. natural_disaster0 on

My fellow Americans. Please tell your reps to tell Trump to stop threatening Greenland.

  32. I know it would be redundant because that’s supposed to be the point of NATO, but I would like my country (Canada) make a pact with Denmark with regard to preserving the sovereignty of Greenland and vice versa.

Ever since all that 51st state shit, which as been mercifully quiet for now, I can’t help but feel like Greenland is in large part just a play in order to geographically surround us, thus making it easier to annex or invade – as is, the US could blockade the Atlantic and Pacific, but with Greenland so close (we literally share a (tiny) border) it’d at least be a strategic benefit to have allied territory through which shipments and whatnot could move. I’m sure there’s also resources at play and future shipping routes through the arctic, etc, but those feel more long term.

Admittedly, I don’t know if anything I’ve said is viable, reasonable, or even possible. I’m not an expert. But I look at the map and I really don’t like the idea of being surrounded on literally every side by Americans with all this rhetoric going on. I want our allies (and us) to stand up for each other and just put an end to this – America trying to take or annex or claim Greenland, or anyone especially after Venezuela, should be tantamount to triggering Article 5. Draw that line now before the orange dipshit gets tempted to look for it himself.

trump only responds to power, denmark and nato need to run a military drill on greenland park a couple of frigates off the cost a few thousand troops on training excercises..and keep them there.

much harder to seize a country when theres some actual peer matches hardware on the field

trump and the us then if they want it,have to shoot through a bunch of allied troops.
