Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Monday accused Croatia of working together with Kosovo and Albania to “destroy” him and represent a military threat, and announced that the government, which he controls, will continue to strengthen its military capabilities.

According to Croatian media, Vučić said this in Trebinje in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he traveled to attend the opening of a new hospital, but in the speech he gave on that occasion he spoke less about healthcare.

According to Index.hr, he focused on geostrategic analysis, predicting the coming of “troublesome times,” including new dangers of war in southeastern Europe.

According to the Croatian media outlet, he expressly confirmed that his particular concern is Croatia, namely its defense cooperation with Kosovo and Albania.

He says it should be clear to everyone that this “is not an alliance against Austria”, so “he has an obligation to explain this to the Serbs”.

“In Belgrade, we understand very well the new military alliance created between Zagreb, Pristina and Tirana. It was not created against anyone else, but against the Serbian people,” Vučić was quoted as saying to the crowd.

He also said that a significant strengthening of Serbia’s military strength is now underway.

“We are second in the world in terms of the advancement of our military capabilities and within two years we will double our military capabilities,” Vučić announced.

He also accused Croatia of trying to influence processes in Montenegro – in what Vucic sees as a conspiracy against Serbia and Serbs.

“Zagreb’s attempt to put Podgorica under its control and involve everyone in anti-Serbian politics is clear and visible to us,” he said.

He also linked his conspiracy theories to the protests that lasted in Serbia throughout last year.

“Those who think that we are naive and will be able to do things like in 1941 and many times in history, let them know: you did everything last year to overthrow me from power, with a billion euros invested, and you failed… I am not Slobodan Milosevic, neither naive nor stupid enough to believe you,” the Serbian president said, among other things. /Telegraph/
