  1. It’s insane how much this happens. Back before legalization you could easily go on a website and order an oz even more, pay an e-transfer and three days later your local post person shows up to it with it at your door. These places used to do shrooms as well too. Kinda shows the lack of screening capability with Canada post

I’ve been buying cannabis this way for years in between prescriptions. I knew that other stuff was available, but certainly didn’t trust that it was safe. This is a bit of an eye opener for me.

Yeah this is surprisingly common. There’s many of them operating with impunity. And if you really think about it it’s safer not more dangerous. Don’t order drugs if you don’t want them. But if you do it’s a little safer than asking a prostitute to find you a drug dealer and buy some off the streets.

  4. It is long past time for us to recognize that drugs won the war on drugs.

Legalize, test and tax.  Worked great with weed, just keep going.

  5. I was buying drugs online roughly 15 years ago, is it even easier now? On the dark web, they have products and reviews you can look through the same as online stores. They even send candy and stickers sometimes lol

instead of affordable housing, groceries, and utilities, we get cheap and accessible drugs.

    sigh.

  7. I ordered weed online as a 14 year old (decades ago), we had to send cash in the mail. I remember seeing the tracking was delivered but there was nothing in the mailbox so I told my mom it was an expensive computer part and she went and yelled at the post office and they found it. She still has no idea.

    Wild times.

Decriminalize already. The drug war has made this social issue more dangerous.

  9. Why do we let foreign billionaires social media platforms sell us drugs and fuck up our politics?

At the least, ffs, ban ig and fb and social media like that for kids.

I have never once seen an ad for drugs or DNMs on clearnet social media. it’s interesting John didn’t include any screenshots of these posts. I truly doubt their veracity. That being said, ordering drugs online has been a thing for almost 2 decades now. Nothing new in this story.

Been buying shrooms online for 6 years or so. The sites have recently started adding other things like MDMA and LSD too.

Actually just bought my dad a quarter-oz of mushrooms for Christmas.

No ID check at checkout or delivery. They basically just asked for address and credit card.

I came home to find a bunch of ostensibly illegal drugs in my mailbox, courtesy of Canada Post.

A coworker is regularly ordering real questionable quality stuff right to his house.

  14. Great click bait headline making you think it’s Amazon selling drugs when they have nothing to do with this.

You can buy Ativan on steroids websites easily and I recently found a website you can buy cocaine and flavoured cocaine nose spray lol who cares.

I’ve ordered before and the site offered good customer service and clean drugs. Be honest the war of drugs will never be won and offering people a clean and professional way to get their enjoyment should be the goal.

People need to accept that where there’s a will, there will be a way. Online labs like these are a little more trustworthy than some fentanyl laced crap off the streets. People will continue to do drugs, so lets support safe supply and consumption.

But if it’s supported by the government, it damn well better be safe and regulated, with tax dollars going to education and prevention. And not a penny being allowed to run advertisements, with jail time if that rule is broken.

I get ads on Facebook for coke, ketamine, ecstasy, mushrooms.. its really strange

  19. Inevitable_View99 on

I saw an ad for this on facebook last week and reported it. I get an automated message back the next day saying the ad doesn’t violate their advertising standards. I requested another review and they again said it wasn’t a violation.

This is one of the problems with AI, clearly Facebook and other social media sites aren’t reviewing reports, they allow AI to do it and its not difficult to fool the system into thinking its a legitimate ad.

  20. Yeah that’s how the people I know have been getting their weed for years now. The sites end up changing every couple years, for one reason or another. But I know they’ve been on the same one now for almost 7-8 years now. Weed, shrooms, derivatives of both, huge selection, great quality an a fraction of what legal prices are. Make your order, send an etransfer, stuff is delivered 2-4 day later.

  21. The first ad on my Facebook feed is ALWAYS for drugs. I’m not interested but they are always there.

I’ve been buying weed online for probably 7-8 years now. Sometimes shrooms. It’s honestly easy but I do it for the convenience. Plus I love online shopping. It’s a win win.

Tons of sites to buy any drug wanted for cheaper than street prices. It’s great lol

  24. Proper_Particular_62 on

Omg! Where are these drugs for sale? Id like to know the website so i never accidentally go there

Am finding it really hard to imagine you can get heroin on these websites like they’re claiming. I know the sites exist, but most of them are an MDMA and mushrooms style thing, with maybe cocaine on top. Have yet to see one with heroin, which is genuinely hard to come by in our current drug market and also basically exists in a different realm of the drug trade. I feel like they cited that first to freak people out.

Also, some of the people they interviewed are totally right in their reasoning for using these sites – far less risk of fentanyl contamination or other adulteration than an in-person drug purchase. On a site where people can leave reviews, they have a motivation to not poison their customers.

Drugs aren’t going anywhere. It’s long past due we put on our big boy pants as a country and decriminalised all of it. Test it, tax it, sell it with regulation and restriction.
Stop wasting police time, they have better things to do. Stop wasting the courts time, there are actual criminals to prosecute. Take money away from illegal enterprises.

There are no downsides that outweigh any of these positives. The pearl clutching will go on, I’m sure, as we continue to be a do-nothing, change-nothing and hope for something good to happen nation. We can be better, Canada.

Seems like a good thing. When the business moves online I have to assume there’s less risk of violence.

I’ve made a few purchases for science and had them lab tested, so far only one was adulterated and none of it had anything dangerous in it.
