I could’ve told you that in 2016! In fact, I told many people.

The headline is a little misleading on this one.
The subtitle: The UK’s disillusioned Gen Z are losing faith in democracy, survey finds
The title should be “Random assortment of unqualified gen Z were asked what they think and they think things are worse.”

You mean…. Just like the people voting Remain told you it would?
Surprise surprise… and they’ll still flock to Nigel.

I didn’t vote Brexit and don’t think think it’s been good for the UK.
But do we really need simplistic journalism like this based on yet another poll?
Independent continues its race to the bottom.

It’s just a survey. I agree with it, but anyway I don’t think a survey proves anything

“Britain’s disillusioned Gen Z are losing faith in democracy”
Friendly reminder that in 2019, 47% of 18-24 year olds turned out to vote whilst 74% of over 65s did.
Yeah, if you’re not politically active, then of course politicians aren’t going to listen to you. Why are you surprised?
The ones who get listened to are those who advocate for themselves and vote- like homeowners, Brexiteers, pensioners etc.
Also- if you think Brexit was bad and our systems are suffering for it but still vote for Nigel Farage, then enjoy what you voted for. He thinks we didn’t do Brexit hard enough, so do not blame anyone except yourself for any adverse consequences.

Shame all the media didn’t point this out in 2016. It was always going to make everything worse…by design.

The lack of critical thinking to realise that the reason everything is worse is because of Brexit and then to vote Reform driven by the man who made it happen is literally insane.

That’s a very post truth headline.

As we knew it would. Cameron should never have suggested it and therefore should be vilified in the history books for causing irreperable damage to the nation, just to quell internal party disputes

We don’t need a poll of people’s opinions. We all know BREXIT was a disaster. We lived (and live) it. It was a polling of unqualified and hoodwinked public opinion that created the disaster in the first place.
We need a qualified study from qualified experts made very public. And we need that assessment acted upon by our government.
I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that I’m fed up with short term “opinion-led” government, one very short step removed from populist government, that we see in America.

and the former brexiters will insist you stop reminding them of it, (because it embaresses them), because “why keep going on about it?”
– To remind them, to remind you of your fuck up, your stupid decision and to remind you not to do it again, even as reforms membership piles up..
