On Tuesday, January 13, at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Austria, there will be a discussion and a presentation of the book by the renowned historian, writer, and director of the Ukrainian Institute in London, Olesya Khromeychuk: “Death of a Soldier. The Story Told by His Sister.”

The book “Death of a Soldier” is a sincere and painful confession by the author about the loss of her brother, Volodymyr Pavliv, who died on the front in 2017. Beginning the work with the words: “I would have preferred not to have to write this book…”, Khromeychuk goes beyond personal grief, describing the experience of thousands of Ukrainian families.
