It’ll be a few months before I dare check it out. I’ve seen the queues when anything new opens in the CBD, no chance dealing with that.

The lack of outdoor seating with shade (and no umbrellas) is concerning.
But I suppose the strategy is to make people choose restaurants with aircon and a view.

will parking still be reasonable for quick shops?

Suppose the “Fish Market” light rail station will have to be renamed otherwise its going to get confusing. The Wentworth station is some distance away.

I still can’t unsee the fact that it looks like a PS5.

Like a new theme park opening up for those seagulls!

I could have sworn people were talking about it being open already on reddit a few months ago. I finally made it there last month and was promptly turned around when trying to enter the parking.. fool me once, reddit.

Is there a train or metro close to the new location?

Will they have any fish on sale or should I still go to the old fish markets to get fish from people who know what the fuck they’re doing

I think this is going to be a repeat of the new food markets at paddy’s. The shops selling fresh seafood will have to be somewhat competitive but the eateries are going to be overpriced and underwhelming

The people who its aimed at won’t go there on public transport. Because they’re better than people who use public transport

I’ll be curious to see what it looks like at that date or if it gets extended, what you can see through the glass seems like there’s still plenty of fit out to do, and not much time for a soft open/test for a any of the retailers or restaurants.
