  1. I’m guessing that puts Germany on the US list of countries to take over / intervene?🤔

43 million tons of lithium in Germany. EU’s battery independence just got a massive boost, no more begging China for critical minerals

  3. It is Germany, so the burocracy and the enviromental issues, will keep this lithium from being mined forever.
You can only mine lithium in third world countries.

  4. Contrary to popular opinion, rare earth minerals aren’t rare – They are just really messy to mine, and process.

I guess Germany will do exactly nothing with this Lithium, due to environmental concerns, and measures which would make mining this lithium economically unfeasible.

Reports like this pop up all the time: somewhere in Europe, they’ve discovered a huge deposit of gas, oil, or, as is the case now, lithium.

In reality, it turns out that the deposits aren’t that rich, their extraction is economically unviable, or comes with serious environmental risks.

So, while I’m happy for the Germans, of course, I suspect this news will soon be forgotten as everyone moves on to the next thing.

  6. Sounds like Germany needs freedom and democracy.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

  7. Trump: For national security, we need Germany; it’s not just me saying it, other people saying it, very smart, very beautiful people.

  8. BREAKING: Donald Trump points at Merz and says he’s a threat to America, he demands Merz to stop the drug trafficking.

Yes there is a ton of lithium in the ground but it’s not easy to get it out. For what I read in the past it’s a kind of lithium which needs to get chemically extracted which is very expensive.

Good. Maybe now the EU can stop supporting pussy lips Vucic, so Serbia can progress economically and socially and finally joining us someday.

  11. This seems to have been reported back in September by Newsweek

and by the company it self at

Abit late on the news cycle isnt it?

    Inb4 the inevitable

“WE NEED GERMANY FOR NATIONAL SECURITY! ALL OPTIONS, MILITARY INCLUDED ON THE TABLE , THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER! MAGA, YEEHAA, USA USA, MAKE FASCISM GREAT AGAIN!”

  13. This is pretty much useless as we’re already moving to new battery tech and by the time mining infrastructure would ramp up here it will be too late to matter, Donut Lab guys are already producing solid state batteries and more will follow.

Lithium batteries are objectively a terrible technology for a plethora of reasons but it was the only “usable” one so far…

  14. Can we just accept Lithium is actually not that rare and it’s not a problem of where can we mine it but why would we want to mine such dirty element on our land?
