A luxury car, the BMW M8, stolen in Germany, has been found in Tirana.

According to the Police report, she is suspected of being trafficked and sold in Tirana by a Kosovo Albanian citizen.

The police have criminally prosecuted the buyer of the trafficked vehicle, who was also its driver at the time of the arrest in Vora, while they have declared a wanted person for the Kosovo citizen suspected of having trafficked this vehicle into Albania.

“As a result of the “Stolen Line” operation, a “BMW M8” vehicle was seized, worth approximately 140,000 euros, which, upon verification, was found to have been stolen in Germany. In connection with this case, the citizen suspected of having brought the vehicle to Albania with the intention of selling it, FH, 42 years old (a Kosovar citizen), was identified and declared wanted, and the buyer of the vehicle (who was also its driver at the time of the arrest), ED, 39 years old, was criminally prosecuted. At the moment, work is underway to capture the 42-year-old.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office for further action, for the criminal offense of “Trafficking in motor vehicles”, the Police announced.

The police operation codenamed “Stolen Line”, against the trafficking of luxury vehicles stolen abroad in Albania, has so far led to the seizure of five vehicles.
