Hello my dear Latvians, happy new year! I recently became more interested in Riga, so I decided to try one creative idea, to create unique flag designs for each district of Riga, for all 58 neighborhoods, based on the official logos of the neighborhood association I found (not all).
Flags are based on the official logos I found of the local neighborhood associations (not all of them).
Go wild in the comments, I would love to hear your thoughts on my flag designs and what can I improve, no matter if positive or negative, I hope you can appreciate them, I tried my best! 🙂

Actually a really fun concept; my only real objections are the company logos in Dreiliņi – big no no even if that’s literally all that the district is known for lol (technically not even a part of riga so i think it’s optional to include that area to begin with) and Skanstes City is a private company – really not the best idea to make a flag out of it. Love the Vecrīga and Centrs flags and would like to hear the inspiration for some of the more vague ones
This is such a clever and creative idea! Putting logos in the flag designs is a bit on the nose tho, but I appreciate this nontheless! 🙂 so what are you going to do with your project now?

The Šķirotava flag is hilarious. Btw the district is called that because of the railroad shunting yard, not a recycling plant. Love the Vecrīga flag, Rumbula on the other hand……

i’m guessing the zolitūde one looks like that because the zolitūde incident was the 9/11 of latvia
