Think its important to note this law was passed in 1952 after the end of the world war II and after a commision investigated what happen with the break down in communication between Copenhagen and the Danish troops in southern Denmark near the border to Germany.
This is a standing order to defend the Kingdom if communication breaks down, just as Sweden has a principle saying the nation will never surrender and if people hear this its propaganda.
Its not related to the Greenland debacle at all. (A lot of people dont read the articles linked here)

The fact that this whole situation is a legitimate conversation is still completely unbelievable to me. The fact that this is going on, and not one person is talking about doing ANYTHING meaningful to keep our President from potentially ordering an invasion, of not just a country, but an ally.
We have fallen so far. Just a few years ago, the United States was the leader of the free word. Now, we have threats from NATO directed at US.
Meanwhile, federal agents are murdering Americans in the streets, we illegally deposed another country’s leader under a blatantly false pretext, all the while people here are struggling to afford groceries and health insurance.
Stop the insanity. We’re not even at the 1 year mark. I’ve been convincing myself that we’ll make it through this, but the fact that a huge chunk of people still support this, on top of SCOTUS likely letting the GOP grab more and more power in democratically, it just keeps getting bleaker and bleaker.
