The Basic Prosecution of Prizren conducted a wide-ranging operation in several cities this morning, while the objects of the raids were the properties of former officials of the Kosovo Insurance Bureau (BKS).

BKS emphasizes that this was initiated by them themselves, in their capacity as the injured party, as a result of the findings identified in the Internal Audit report.

The Kosovo Insurance Bureau (KIB) informs the public that the latest case, which is being handled by the Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren and for which raids and investigative actions have been reported, was initiated by the KIB itself in its capacity as the injured party, as a result of the findings identified in the Internal Audit report.
As part of the Bureau’s ongoing commitment to transparency, institutional integrity and protection of the public interest, after identifying serious violations and suspicions of abuse, the BKS has taken immediate legal action, addressing the relevant findings to the competent law enforcement and justice bodies.
The Kosovo Insurance Bureau has cooperated and continues to cooperate fully and actively with the Kosovo Prosecution and Police, making available all documentation and information necessary for the conduct of investigations.
We emphasize that BKS remains committed to strengthening internal control mechanisms, preventing misuse and ensuring responsible management of financial resources, in full compliance with applicable legislation.
The Kosovo Insurance Bureau reiterates that it respects the principle of the presumption of innocence and believes that the justice authorities will fully clarify this case, acting in accordance with the law.
