Was it through a secret exit that others couldn’t use?
Because if it was just a regular entrance/exit… then I don’t see the problem. (Though, the manager is supposed to call for help, so if the manager didn’t… that’s an issue.)
Unless the manager was supposed to stay in the bar and die with the others?

People’s lives were worth more than the till. But they will need the till cash to pay the fines and millions that the victims’ families will get.

Great example of swiss neutrality. Helping the people would have broken the fundamentals of always staying neutral.

Her husband has already served jail time on fraud, kidnapping and prostitution charges, then journalists were assaulted while shooting videos where the tragedy occurred. My sensation is that the fire could have opened a can of worms for that shady couple.
That’s currently just an unproven (and IMHO likely false) allegation ONE Italian journalist made yesterday. That many boulevard “media” are perpetuating it (without doing actual journalism/investigation themselves), is understandable from a clickbaiting perspective (“outrageous” headlines get clicks), but doesn’t make the allegation any more true.
Also, what doesn’t make sense here: *If* an insider from the investigation actually had seen such a video and *if* that person had leaked that information to the media, then *why* would that person give that information to a random Italian boulevard journalist – and not one of the local journalists that have much better sources/connections/access to such insiders?
And why hasn’t any serious Swiss media outlet reported on this (well, if we exclude any of the other boulevard media that are just stupidly perpetuating/parroting the Italian journalists unproven claim).
In addition: In recent days, some Italian journalists didn’t really seem to follow the rules of the [Swiss journalism code of conduct](https://presserat.ch/en/journalistenkodex/richtlinien/), so anything such journalists say, i’d personally take with a huge grain of salt.

I’m more interested in the reported lack of inspections and the question of how that place was ever certified with flammable ceiling sound insulation.
