GEORGETOWN, Texas — The Texas American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) is hosting the first debate between Democratic U.S. Senate candidates James Talarico and Jasmine Crockett.
The debate, which will take place at the 2026 Committee on Political Education (COPE) Convention in Georgetown, Texas, will welcome questions from members of the union and workers across the state of Texas, along with those who want to vote in the Democratic primary, according to their website.
The COPE Convention beings on Jan. 24 at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel and Conference Center and the debate will start at 2 p.m. The debate will be moderated by Dallas Morning News political writer Gromer Jeffers and KXAN anchor Daniel Marin.
The livestream of the debate will available on Nexstar Media local affiliates and their websites throughout the state.
