I still remember the conservative attack ads going “Trudeau’s only experience was a drama teacher and he has good hair” and how “he is going to decimate the country from his lack of experience”. They were 100% correct.
And now the conservative party is literally parading Poilievre…who has the exact same problems as Trudeau. You need someone…….who has experience. Carney runs laps for a reason. He has the portfolio to back it up.
Just like a job application, find the BEST CANDIDATE. Even if you need to take it from outside the party. The problem with the conservative party is they are scared of another Stephen Harper (that is why Andrew Scheer became the upset winner and previous opposition leader), but you can’t deny that Stephen Harper was a brilliant person, even though I didn’t really agree with half of what he did, he had a consistent plan. Please get a real leader, not some puppet or indoctrinated conservative. You need someone who can support real ideals.

I honestly don’t know why like he goes back on his promise and screws over the regular peons of Canada a lot. Just to name a few on the top of my head. Attempting to force striking workers back to work. Claiming to care about the planet while forcing workers back to the office screwing our society in a whole lot more ways then just the climate. Claiming to care about Canada’s defense while actively disarming the peons to please Quebec which is rather hypocritical if you ask me because if I remember right he was claiming us peons have to make sacrifices but he can’t even sacrifice a lobby group.

The thing I didn’t like most about Carney was… Chrystia Freeland.
I didn’t know they had a tight relationship so I groaned early on, but nonetheless he gave her a cabinet position, basically had a scandal within months on ferries, and I got the impression he basically cracked the whip and tried to gracefully get rid of her afterwards. Don’t think it’s a coincidence that Carney met Zelensky in Halifax recently then shortly after Freeland gets a job out of it. Not that it was the primary intent of the meeting.
Beyond that, Carney just has to copy+paste the Conservatives stance on crime and sentencing and I’m happy.
