I see a completely new subsidies system is already in place and will soon replace the old one, but could not find any discussion here.

In principle it sounds like good news (what was preventing me to install panels was having to advance the full amount) but seeing that the calculation of the subsidy is now completely different and that it will be the company doing the installation that applies for and receives the subsidy, i am a bit concerned that this is going in the direction of price increase by the amount of the subsidy, company pockets the money, user sees nothing.

Any comments or experiences so far?

  1. Companies know about subsidies and they used to mention them on the offers, so in principle this doesn’t change much. Otherwise it’s known that subsidies and tax advantages are partly pocketed by companies. You should always get multiple offers and compare prices including from providers from abroad.

  2. Doing it without the subsidies can be cheaper than doing it with subsidies.

BUT the hookup to the grid can be very fast or quite a bit slower depending on who is asking. It’s the company asking making the difference.

Doing it off-grid without hookup can be even cheaper if you find somebody qualified/capable to do the electric side.
