On January 10, several clubs featuring Armenian footballers played friendly and official matches.
Romanian side Farul played a friendly match against Bulgaria’s Cherno More at their training base and suffered a 1–2 defeat. The match was held in an unusual format — four halves of 30 minutes each. Armenia national team midfielder Narek Grigoryan spent 60 minutes on the pitch.
Serbian club Crvena Zvezda, currently holding a training camp in Turkey, confidently defeated Swiss first-division side Aarau with a score of 4–1. Nair Tiknizyan played for the Belgrade team and was substituted midway through the second half. Dejan Stanković’s squad continues preparations for the UEFA Europa League and will play two more friendly matches in Belek — against Hungary’s Debrecen on January 11 and Austria’s Salzburg on January 15. On January 22, Crvena Zvezda will face Swedish club Malmö in the 7th round of the Europa League league phase.
In the Israeli Premier League, Bnei Sakhnin lost 0–1 to Maccabi Tel Aviv in the 18th round. Armenian forward Artur Miranyan played the full match. According to SofaScore, his performance was rated 6.2. After the defeat, Bnei Sakhnin sit in 8th place in the league standings.
