Croatia’s airports may be heading into winter, but the numbers are still heating up – with 456,000 passengers passing through in November alone, a jump of 9.2% compared with last year, official data reveals.

While the skies were busy with travellers, action on the ground was a little quieter. The total number of landings and take-offs dipped slightly, down 0.7% to 5,917. Cargo traffic also took a hit, dropping 4.9% to 715 tonnes – but with passenger queues growing, few seem to have noticed.

Zagreb Leads the Nation

Zagreb Airport once again stole the show, handling a massive 338,000 passengers in November – that’s 7.9% more than a year ago. Split Airport followed with around 62,000 travellers, with Dubrovnik close behind on 49,000, proving that even in the off-season, the country’s top coastal hubs are still pulling in crowds.

The surge caps off a strong run for Croatian aviation: in 2024, airports across the country enjoyed a 16% spike in total passenger traffic, putting the sector firmly back on the map and setting the stage for an even bigger 2026.
